Austria

The country that caused a world war and blamed it on Germany (technically, the second was also her fault).

She's confident, and you better not steal her desserts or onions, or else... Well, I can't guarantee your safety anymore.

Basic Information

Official Name: Republic of Austria/Republik Österreich
Capital and Largest City: Vienna

Government: Federal parliamentary republic

Global Influence: Austria has played a significant role in global history, particularly through the Habsburg Empire, which dominated European politics for centuries. As the heart of the Holy Roman Empire, Austria exerted immense influence over Central Europe, shaping diplomacy, culture, and warfare. The Austro-Hungarian Empire, one of the world's great powers until its collapse in 1918, contributed to arts, music (with figures like Mozart and Beethoven), and intellectual thought. Austria's strategic position also made it a key player in both World Wars and later a neutral ground during the Cold War, hosting major international organizations like the UN and OPEC. Today, it continues to impact global affairs through its diplomatic and cultural contributions.
